Tell us about the services that Axendia provides and how they stand out from the competition.

Axendia offers reliable guidance based on reliable sources. We work at the nexus of three domains: challenges affecting the life sciences ecosystem in business, regulation, and technology. We offer strategic guidance so that our clients may anticipate, respond to, and overcome disruption. In order to achieve this, we carry out primary quantitative and qualitative research that our clients use to support their strategies and empower them to decide based on their particular needs.

Our strategy is specialised. We oppose using pressure to rank vendors or select the top solution provider. As a substitute, we collaborate with our industry clients to comprehend their intended usage, culture, budget, and other objectives. This enables us to offer guidance based on each client’s specific requirements and to support further development.

We offer practical insights based on the following guiding principles when working with Life-Science organisations on transformational efforts.

Provide a comprehensive suggestion that takes into account business, technical, and regulatory trends influencing the industry in general, their sector in particular, and their unique company needs by demonstrating a strong awareness of the Life-Science sector.

possess the moral courage to advise clients when NOT to begin a project.

Make suggestions based on the culture, values, needs, and intended system use of each customer.

Identify the client’s actual needs and wants vs their projected needs and wants.

When asked to suggest a project just because “everyone else is doing it,” challenge the status quo.

To encourage genuine buy-in that will lead to a successful digital transition, modify corporate culture.

Give the specific information required to reach the best judgement possible!

Tell us about your career history.

For more than 30 years, I have worked in the life sciences sector. As an automation and controls engineer at Johnson and Johnson, I started my career there. There, I oversaw the development and implementation of computer-integrated manufacturing solutions for the entire company as well as the shopfloor automation systems, including robotics and vision systems. I had the honour of overseeing a group of engineers that were instrumental in putting corporate systems like ERP on the shop floor. In addition, I was in charge of implementing CSV rules and procedures and making sure that CSV complied with all applicable regulations.

I later became a partner, vice president, and general manager of a start-up consulting firm where I established a Life Sciences consulting practise. We increased the number of consultants working on systems development, audits, implementation, process creation, and validation, as well as regulatory consulting, throughout the course of my eight-year employment, from 15 to 150.

I started Axendia in 2005 with the goal of giving leaders in the Life Sciences sector comprehensive insights into the nexus of business, technology, and regulatory concerns affecting our sector. We are still the only analyst firm that entirely focuses on life sciences.
